Laryngeal Papilloma

- Laryngeal papillomas are benign neoplasias of the larynx and are typically appear as sub-centimeter raspberry-like structures composed of a fibrovascular core covered by a stratified squamous epithelium. In adults they usually occur singly but rarely become malignant. In children they are often multiple and are caused by Human Papilloma Virus. Pediatric laryngeal papillomas never become malignant but frequently regrow after resection.
